Adding a customized touch, you can choose a background or image for your card to express your personality. Meta has built this tool to help people expand their connections by sharing their profile cards on other platforms.
The updated card is easy to share with potential collaborators, brands, or at events. It’s a quick way to connect with people who share similar interests, including through Instagram groups or online.
While Instagram introduced QR codes in 2018, the new profile cards allow a more detailed look at your content and interests. Rather than just displaying a QR code, you can give others a glimpse into your interests and content, which could result in more connections.

How to Customize The New Profile Card
To customize, tap the pencil icon at the top right to change the background or color. At the bottom, you’ll find options to share, copy, download, or add to your story, making it easy to encourage others to follow your account.
